Law Enforcement Protocols

1. Purpose

This page explains how FindUla responds to lawful requests from law enforcement and government authorities. We balance user privacy with our legal obligations and the safety of our community.

2. Valid legal process

We require valid legal process before disclosing non-public user information, except where disclosure is required by law in an emergency involving danger of death or serious physical injury. Depending on the request, that may include a subpoena, court order, search warrant, or equivalent process under applicable law.

3. How to submit a request

Law enforcement agencies should submit requests to:

Include, at minimum:

• Agency name, badge/ID number, and contact information
• Official email address on an agency domain
• Case number and description of the investigation
• The specific data requested and the relevant user identifier (e.g. email, username, or profile URL)
• A copy of the legal process (subpoena, warrant, or court order)
• Response deadline and preferred delivery method

4. Emergency disclosure

If there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury, mark the subject line “EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST” and include a detailed explanation of the emergency, the specific information needed, and why normal legal process cannot be obtained in time. We evaluate emergency requests in good faith under applicable law.

5. What we may disclose

Subject to valid process and applicable law, we may disclose account information such as registration details, profile content, messages, verification status metadata, IP/device logs, and billing records we retain. We do not store exact user coordinates or exact income amounts. See our Privacy Policy for more on data retention.

6. User notice

Where legally permitted, we may notify affected users before disclosing their information so they can seek legal remedies. We do not provide notice when prohibited by law (for example, a non-disclosure order) or when notice would create a risk of harm.

7. Child safety and illegal content

We prohibit child sexual exploitation and abuse material, human trafficking, and related offenses under our Acceptable Use Policy. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the appropriate authorities and preserve relevant records as required by law.

8. Preservation

Upon a valid preservation request from law enforcement, we will take reasonable steps to preserve specified account data for a limited period pending formal legal process.
